Jessee Steele
Jessee Steele is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Environmental Sciences department. His research examines how climate change affects tree mortality using mixed-methods in remote sensing and deep learning. After graduating from Duke University, he worked as an environmental consultant for the Senate and the Supreme Court, among other federal organizations. Jessee is most experienced in writing science narratives, regulatory memos, and applications. Outside of the Writing Center, he enjoys powerlifting, cooking, and gardening.
