Vinayak Dewan is a PhD candidate in English at the University of Virginia. His interests include the nineteenth-century novel, postcolonial theory, and queer theory. Fluent in Hindi and tennis, Vi-NA-yuk previously worked with Oxford University Press in the UK and holds a Master of Studies in English (1830-1914) from the University of Oxford. His writing has appeared in The Henry James Review, The Caravan, and CNN.
